Jesus didn’t come to be served, but to serve.
As his people, we follow this same mindset. We all play a role in serving one another, reaching our community, and taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Community Health Fair
In August 2025, Valwood Park partnered with churches from across our community to host a health fair on our property. At the fair, members of the community receive free health screenings, financial consulting, marriage and family counseling, dental care, and chiropractic care – all completely free.
The next Community Health Fair will take place in March 2026! Stay tuned for opportunities to be a part of the serve team.
Blair Elementary Partnership
Blair Elementary School is a public campus, just one block away from the church. In 2025, Valwood Park officially adopted the community at Blair Elementary. As a sponsor, we provide ongoing care to the students, families, faculty, and staff of the school. This includes funding for school uniforms, participating in the annual Angel Tree, and ongoing gifts to the teachers. In August 2026, we will also host a back-to-school drive exclusive to the families at the school!
Trunk or Treat
Valwood Park is located on the busy corner of Josey Lane and Valwood Parkway. On October 31 each year, we provide a safe and fun environment in the church parking lot where families get to dress up, play games, get some candy, and interact with friendly faces!
International Partnerships
As a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, a percentage of all donations to Valwood Park supports our denominational entities. This includes the International Mission Board as they engage unreached people groups, the North American Mission Board as they plant and revitalize churches across the continent, and the six seminaries that train up the next generation of pastors.
